A large terrace overlooking spectacular views was the main idea that guided local practice for the project of this two-floor penthouse located between Rodrigo de Freitas Lake and Botanic Garden in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
With an amazing view of the city’s geography and its landmarks, the construction of the space tried totally to integrate internal and external areas, allowing the owner to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings no matter which way he goes inside the house.
The use of exposed concrete and honed marble which were used inside and outside the house, guarantees an elegant personality and outstanding project. The green and the blue colors of the landscape are highlighted by white volumes, together with the rigor of the pure lines that show the modernity of the project.
The beautiful interior is interrupted by a decor featured with modern furniture from contemporary art so result is an elegant and functional environment. The floor is made of mahogany boards.
The first floor consisting family room, lunch room, service area and three bedrooms – master bedroom and two children’s bedrooms. The beautiful interior of second floor is fulfill with cover of Turkish travertine honed marble in the living room, dining room and in the large terrace which has a barbecue area, except for the turquoise mosaic from Italian elements which covers swimming pool, which interrupts the neutral colors.
All together gives to the penthouse remarkable and modern spirit united with surrounding though beautiful large terrace.
