THE RAMPART WAVE

- in PUBLIC GARDENS AND PARKS
4964

New public space of 20 hectares was opened in 2014 – Blandan park in Lion, on the old Sergent Blandan barracks from 1830.

The Rampart Wave is a 1000 m² wooden playground designed based on the risk-taking concept already experimented from previous playgrounds in Lion. This allegorical wall was met with euphoria among the children aged 4 to 12 and parents.

Wave fits into the story to attack the rampart of the 19th century. It is 50 meters long and 7 meters high, and so complex than nobody knows exactly where the concealed passageways lead and which alcoves go to which entrances.

It is a landscape, an area to feel, to explore, a live playful allegory for children.
