This Toy House of 247m2 in São Paulo was designed by Pascali Semerdjian Arquitetos and built a few meters from the house where the family lives.

The project is a designed for a family that grew fast and needed space for children’s toys and a place to host parties and events for all. It sits behind a discrete entrance that leads to a staircase where visitors choose between three levels.

The lower floor is a large TV room for video games and film sessions. Also it has an integrated kitchen with a dining room. Sliding doors on both sides connect this space with the outside area. A slide was built underneath the stainless steel staircase that’s located at the back of the house.

The upper floor is built to allow the use of space in different configurations. In order to attend the challenge of having flexible spaces for different needs, sun blinds and shutters were incorporated in to the metal structure. Thus, space can become larger or smaller, closed or open, and can also be easily disassembled in the future if the owners decide to move or remodel the house.

The Toy House is connected to the house through a red rope bridge over a garden, like a small jungle which is located on the ground floor.
